James Gehling, age 75 of South River, passed away Wednesday August 4, 2021 peacefully at St. Peters Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Brooklyn, James moved to South River to raise his adored family.
Before his retirement, Mr. Gehling worked for Inland Container Corp. in Spotswood. James loved nothing more than spending time with his family. James was a proud US Marine Veteran. James was a loving husband, father, brother, Veteran, friend and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

James is predeceased by his parents as well as his siblings and brother-in-law. Surviving is his beloved wife Carol (Kist) Gehling, his beloved children James Gehling and Michael Gehling & his wife Robin, his adored dog Bella as well as many loving nieces, nephews, friend and neighbors.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 5pm to 9pm Please note that masks are required in the building at all times due to Covid 19 surges. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:30am the M.A. Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Avenue, South River N.J. with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in South Brunswick.
