Obituary for Jacob M "Jack" Mraz
Jacob “Jack” Mraz, age 77 of Sayreville, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Perth Amboy he had resided in Sayreville for the past 34 years. Before his retirement Jack was employed as a custodian by the Sayreville Board of Education for 7 years.
He is predeceased by his parents Jacob and Veronica Mraz. Surviving are his devoted family; his wife of 53 years, Donna Ippolito Mraz, his daughters and their spouses Melissa and Danny Krakowski of Sayreville and Vanessa and Marc Hogan of Sayreville, his grandchildren Amy, Dean, Keira, Calie and Carissa, his siblings and their spouses Robert and Ingrid Mraz of PA, Joan and Bob Hmieleski of MD, and Patricia and John Capaccione of Bridgewater, his sister-in-law Maggie Mraz of PA and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with calling hours will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a Prayer Service at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack’s name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, please note that a maximum of 100 visitors will be allowed in the funeral home at once and masks must be worn at all times.
