Obituary for Jack Bellina

Jack Bellina, age 94, of South Amboy peacefully passed away on Monday September 11, 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Jack was born in the family home, in Maplewood, New Jersey, where he would reside for 66 years.

Jack worked in the Carpenters Resilient Flooring Union until he retired.

Jack and his beloved wife Millie, moved to South Amboy, where they watched the boats on the Raritan Bay and the sunrise in the morning.

Jack enjoyed sailing his boat on the Shrewsbury River. He found great joy in sharing the many stories of his life and the wisdom gained along the way. He and Millie enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Jack has served his country well! Being in the Navy & the Army, serving during the Korean War.

Jack, Millie and their son, Joseph, left this world in peace.

Jack is predeceased by his loving wife Millie, his son Joseph, his mother & father Mildred & John Bellina, brother-in-law Gustave Hicks, brother Gerald Bellina, his sister Gloria Hicks-Prestinari and his niece Beverly Laing. He is survived by his nieces & nephews William Hicks Jr., Jennifer Ponath and her husband, Robert, Patricia Brown, David Bellina and his wife, Nicole, Karen Bellina, Christina O’Neill and her husband Greg, James Laing Jr., James Laing Sr., sister-in-law, Kay Bellina, cousin Nancy Ryan, and his many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins of the Ambieli Family.
Calling hours are Friday from 4pm to 7pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ.

A Prayer service will take place at the funeral home beginning at 9:15am, with entombment to follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Union, New Jersey.
