Helen Strzykalski age 90 of South Amboy passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at Venetian Care & Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy with her loving and devoted family at her side. Born in Matawan she has resided in South Amboy for over 70 years. Before her retirement she was employed by Westinghouse Electric in Metuchen for 20 years and after that for Spezzi’s Restaurant in Parlin for many years. Mrs. Strzykalski was a communicant of Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy.

Helen is predeceased by her husband Joseph Strzykalski in 1986. Surviving are her sons and their wives Joseph & Amy Strzykalski of Newark, Delaware and John & Maureen Strzykalski of South Amboy, her grandchildren Joseph & Samantha Ski, Sharon & Timothy O’Connell, John Strzykalski and James Strzykalski, her great grandchildren Timothy, Jammi and William and her brother John Lozinski of Plainfield.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday from 3pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Helen’s name be made to Sayreville Association for Brain Injured Children 251 Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville, N.J. 08872.
