Garrett “Gary” Walsh III, age 78 of Flemington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Born in South Amboy he had resided in Flemington for the past 30 years. He was a US Navy veteran serving as a medic during the Vietnam war. Before his retirement he was employed as a technician by Allied Engineering in Edison for many years. After his retirement he spent some time working with Hunterdon Hospice. Gary was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, was a proud ham radio operator and member of the NJ Antique Radio Club. He liked hot rods, muscle cars and racing. He will truly be missed by his dear family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents Garret J. Sr and Clementine Walsh, and his wife Carol Shaw Walsh. Surviving are his sisters; Sharon Walsh and Kathleen Cosgrove and her husband Robert, his nephews; Steven, Christopher, Gregory and Jeffrey Cosgrove and his faithful companion; his cat, Buddy.
