Obituary for Frank Paczkowski

Frank Paczkowski, age 52 of Sayreville, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home. Born in South Amboy, he was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. Frank was a 1987 graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in South Amboy. From a young age, he excelled at both baseball and basketball. After high school, he continued playing baseball on several area teams including American Legion and enjoyed his co-ed softball teams. He will be most remembered for his outstanding pitching ability.

Frank was a well known butcher loved by everyone. He began his trade directly out of high school and continued for 35 years. He built a loyal customer base from Manville to South Amboy, where he managed the Meat Department in his family owned Foodtown. His fresh made kielbasa was legendary and a favorite of NJ families at Christmas and Easter. Most recently, he was a butcher at Foodtown/Fresh Grocer in Colonia.

He is predeceased by his father, Edmund J and his brother, Jerry. Surviving are his sons, Frank and Brayden, his mother, Judith Ciol Paczkowski, his siblings and their spouses Edmund Paczkowski, Lynn and Anthony Ascione, Judy and Gregory McCabe, JoEllen and Don Sofilkanich, and Gregory and Diana Paczkowski. He was an adoring and loving uncle to his 10 nieces and nephews. Frank is also survived by many aunts and uncles and cousins.

A funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, April 29 at 10 am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in South Amboy under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with private cremation and burial to follow. Completed arrangements can be found at www.spezzifuneralhome.com .
