Obituary for Evelyn R Jackson (Tyler)
Evelyn R. Jackson died on March 4, 2020. She was a patient at Parker – Somerset at the time of her death and a recent resident of Parker at Stone Gate. Prior to moving to Parker at Stone Gate in January 2019, Evelyn was a 20+ year resident of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. Before that, she was a resident of Sayreville, NJ for more than 40 years. She is predeceased by her husband John A. (Jack) Jackson in 1999, her companion, Peter Patrick, in 2017 and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister Dorothy (Tyler) Murtha and her 6 children and their spouses: Thomas M. and Linda (Falcicchio) Jackson, Patricia Jackson, Peter W. and Sandra (Hess) Jackson, John T. Jackson, Daniel E. and Judy (Busi) Jackson and Brian J. and Linda (Taylor) Jackson. During her life she enjoyed the company and love of 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She counted bowling, knitting and bocce among her favorite activities.
Evelyn was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1928 and moved to the United States upon her marriage in 1950.
She proudly worked as an Accounts Receivable clerk for Personal Products/Johnson & Johnson for 20 years until her retirement.
At her request, there was no wake or funeral service. Cremation services were held privately under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. A private memorial service may take place in the future.
Any donations which may be made in her memory should be directed to Parker at Stone Gate, 443 River Rd, Highland Park, NJ 08904.
