Eugene “Gene” Petner, age 82 of Whiting passed away peacefully at Arista Care in Manchester. Born in New Brunswick, he had lived in North Middletown before moving to Whiting several years ago. Before his retirement, Gene worked as a warehouseman for Pathmark in Woodbridge for many years. Gene loved spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents Paul and Stella Petner, his siblings Rita and Paul and his son Gene. Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years the former Patricia Bowler, his children Michele Petner and Mark Petner, and his grandchildren Paul Petner and Christopher Falletta.
