Obituary for Ethel "Fran" Schwarzenberg (Burlew)

Ethel “Fran” Schwarzenberg, age 88, of Sayreville passed away on Tuesday, July 7th 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Old Bridge she had resided in Sayreville for the past 60 years. Before her retirement in 1991 she was employed as an Office Dispatcher for EI DuPont in Parlin for 39 years. She was a communicant of St Peter’s Episcopal Church in Spotswood and she also volunteered in their thrift shop. Fran loved to water-ski, swim, fish, go crabbing, was an avid gardener and she enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips. She belonged to the Sayreville Seniors Thursday Club and she was a member of DuPont’s 10 and 25 Year Club.

She is predeceased by her parents Leroy and Olive Burlew and her sister Mildred Burlew. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Edward and Michele Schwarzenberg of Old Bridge and her granddaughter Michele Richardson.

All funeral services are private under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Fran’s name to the Disabled American Veterans at www.Dav.org.
