Obituary for Ernest Courtrier

Ernest W. Courtrier, age 62 of Sayreville, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born in Charleston, SC he had resided in Sayreville for 19 years. Mr. Courtrier served in the Navy for 6 years. Before his retirement, Ernest worked for New York State Psychiatric Institute as a chef. Mr. Courtrier was an avid fisherman who enjoyed saltwater fishing. Ernest was a loving husband, son, brother, step-father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, neighbor and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is predeceased by his father Ernest Judge. Surviving are his beloved wife Lucinda of 31 years, his mother Barbara Williams, his Godfather Barry Waldman, his sisters Sheila Alston & Adrienne Owens, his brother Terrence Williams & wife Debra, his step daughter & husband , his grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sister in law, neighbors, friends who will miss him dearly.

Viewing hours will take place Friday from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm Services at of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin NJ 08859. Funeral services will be Saturday 915am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, with a 10am mass at St. Bernadette’s RC Church. A private cremation will follow.
