Obituary for Eric Hode
Eric Hode, age 67 of East Brunswick passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home with his loving family at his side. Born in New Brunswick, Mr. Hode had resided in New Jersey for all of his life. Before his retirement Eric was self-employed owning EH Masonry in South River. Eric was an accomplished baseball player and loved the New York Mets but his greatest passion was watching his grandson’s baseball games and his granddaughter’s dance recitals.
Mr. Hode is predeceased by his sister Janice Callahan and brother Alan Hode. Surviving are his loving wife Tina Hode, his son and daughter in-law Aaron and Sonia Hode, his grandchildren Dylan, Rylee, Brandon Hode, his sister Diane Hillman as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours at The Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave. South River, New Jersey will be Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral services are Thursday 9am at the Maliszewski Funeral home, 9:30am St. Mary of Ostrabrama R.C. Church, South River with burial to follow at Holy Cross Burial Park.
