Ellen B.Garrabrant Buckley, age 80 of the Morgan section of Sayreville passed away Thursday, May 21st 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in Staten Island, NY she had resided in Morgan for 52 years. Before her retirement she was employed as a Secretary for the Borough of Sayreville for 35 years. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy where she was also an active member of the Council of Catholic Women who spearheaded their project to support CRS (Catholic Relief Services) ”Water for Life Project”. Ellen enjoyed attending Mass, gardening, cooking and especially loved spending time with her family. Ellen was loved by those who knew her for her sense of humor, compassionate nature and generosity of spirit.

She is predeceased by her husband John J. Buckley Sr, her son Dennis and her brothers Vincent and William Garrabrant. Surviving are her children John J. Buckley Jr of Morgan and Vivian Borruso of Sayreville, her granddaughters Melissa Mascolo and her husband Anthony, Christine and Kimberly Borruso, her great grandsons Noah and Jonathan Mascolo, her brother Walter Garrabrant and his wife Dorothy, her special niece Deborah Notte, her sister-in-law Joan Garrabrant and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home with a 9am Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm.
