Parlin
Elizabeth O’Neill age 83 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Monday May 25, 2015 at her home. Born in Jersey City, she had resided in Bayonne before moving to Parlin 27 years ago. Before her retirement 15 years ago she was employed by American Greeting Cards at PathMark in Old Bridge for 10 years and prior to that at Two Guys in Jersey City. Mrs. O’Neill was a member of the Circus Model Builders John W. Pugh Ring #96, Circus Fans of America & Circus Historians.
She is predeceased by her first husband Bernard McCabe, her second husband Edmund J. O’Neill Jr., her son Bernard McCabe Jr. and 6 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her daughter Elizabeth Nietubyc and her husband Eric of Parlin, her daughter in law Maureen McCabe of Bradley Beach, her grandchildren Erica Pontoriero and her husband Anthony, Marc Nietubyc, Brian McCabe and Sara McCabe, her great grandchildren Jessica Pontoriero, Joseph Pontoriero and Dillon McCabe, her brother Edward Gately of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home
15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 6pm to 9pm. Letters of condolence, directions and completed arrangements can be found at spezzifuneralhome.com
