Elijah was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Thursday, March 2, 2004. He is survived by his parents Adreena and David, paternal parent Emilio; maternal grandparents Lynn and Tom “Popsicles”, paternal grandparents Steve and Rita. Siblings one brother and two sisters. Elijah attended South River High school, South River middle and elementary school. He was a caring, well mannered, and incredibly smart young man. Elijah loved his family, friends, music, anime, video games and taught himself to play guitar. He had even learned to play “Seven Nation Army” by the White Stripes. He was the eldest of 4. He took his role as the older brother to heart; he was caring and protective of his siblings and pets.

Elijah was passionate about life. He was looking forward to a summer music internship and to joining the track team. He was involved with D.A.R.E., the Jr. Police Academy, and volunteering at Elijah’s Promise. He had many plans and wanted to travel to California, Utah, England, and Tokyo. His younger brother said, "This was the best year ever and we had so much fun." Their plans included a Caribbean cruise with the family for his 16th birthday.

Elijah affectionately known as YAYA will be missed greatly. Elijah "Yaya" you are loved forever and ever.

In order to provide closure for friends and family: Elijah and his brother were sadly the innocent victims of a home invasion and robbery. Elijah is a hero for his courageous actions ensuring his brother’s safety. Sadly, Elijah did not survive the ordeal and passed away just 3 months shy of his 16th birthday.
