Obituary for Eleanor Zaleski (Brzozowski)

Eleanor Brzozowski Zaleski, age 93 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Born in Sayreville, she was a lifelong borough resident. Eleanor was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the St. Stan’s Seniors. She was also a member of the Sayreville Seniors Thursday Club and enjoyed spending time at the Sayreville Senior Center.
She is predeceased by her parents Felix and Stella Brzozowski, her husband Walter Zaleski, her infant son James, her brothers Frank, Joseph and John Brzozowski and her sisters Pearl Markowski, Mary Wolynec, and Joan Olszewski.
Surviving are her children and their spouses Leonard & Dorothy, John & Mair, Christine Rodriguez & Jose, Ann Deluca & Michael, Ronald & Donna, Lawrence & Sue and Kenneth & Maryann, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her sister Rose Wolski and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be Monday 8:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 9:00am funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St. Stan’s Cemetery.
The family requests that masks be worn in the funeral home and at the church for Eleanor’s services. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
