Edwin R. Burch Jr. age 82 of Sayreville passed away Thursday April 16, 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born and raised in Brooklyn he has resided in Sayreville for the past 27 years. Before his retirement 23 years ago he was employed as an auditor for Discount Corporation of New York where he worked for 38 years. Mr. Burch was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 58 ½ years Jacqueline Smith Burch, his children and their spouses Edwin & Agnes Burch of Monroe, N.Y., Kevin & Lynn Burch of Wellington, Florida, and Patricia & Michael Fausto of Old Bridge, his grandchildren Kristen, Eddie, Briana and Kevin John.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am Mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with private cremation to follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9am. In lieu of flowers donations in Edwin’s name can be made to Alzheimer’s or Dementia funds. Letters of condolence, directions and completed arrangements can be found at spezzifuneralhome.com
