Obituary for Edward Figel

Edward Figel, age 83 of Sayreville, passed away Tuesday, March 14, at Old Bridge Reginal Hospital. Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifelong resident of NJ. Ed settled in Monroe before moving to Sayreville in 1997. Before his retirement in 1998, Ed worked for the Boilermakers Local 28 in Eastampton. Edward was a wonderful man, who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is predeceased by parents Edward & Elizabeth Neidermeier and his brother Robert Figel. Surviving is his beloved partner of over 40 years Lorraine Pickus, his children Shelley Janosko and Rob Pickus & his wife Kim, his grandchildren Scott & Lindsey Janosko and Jordan & Matthew Pickus, his 3 great-grandchildren, his siblings Chester Figel, Donald Figel, Jim Figel & his wife Marjorie, Art Figel & his wife Yoko, Betty Paulera, Jeanette Kurschner, Lore Raab and husband Ed as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 9am to 11am at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville. A prayer service will be Monday 11am at the Maliszewski Memorial Home.
