Obituary for Edward C Blust Jr.
Edward C. Blust Jr, age 68 of Parlin passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Manhattan, he had lived in Parlin since 1971. Before his retirement he was employed by IBEW local 3 Laborer working at the iconic Madison Square Garden in NYC for over 30 years. He will be remembered fondly for his love of NY teams the Rangers and the Yankees and his passion for fishing. He will truly be missed by his dear family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father Edward C Blust Sr. Surviving are his Mother Florence Blust, his sister Patricia Blust, his brothers John and Thomas Blust, his niece Veronica Cordisco and her husband Joseph, his nephews Thomas Blust Jr and Francis Martinez Jr as well as many loving friends.
Visitation hours will take place on Friday from 3pm to 7pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. Prayer services at the funeral home will begin at 9:30am, on Saturday with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamesburg.
