Douglas Botnick passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 26, 2021 at his home in South Carolina. He was 57. He was raised in East Brunswick and then settled down to raise his own family in South River. He ultimately moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to be near the beach. Doug was a proud business owner, working in the produce industry for most of his life. He loved nothing more than his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Edward & Lois Botnick. Surviving are his children Lauren Botnick, Amanda Botnick, and Alexander Botnick, his cherished grandchildren Adrian & Alexandria, his former wife & friend Alba Botnick, his siblings Stephen Botnick, Jarrett Botnick, Melanie Mattaliano, Kristine Moss, his stepmother Sonya Kosty-Botnick, his former mother-in-law Alba Ortiz and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family requests that donations in Doug’s name be made to the American Stroke Association.

A memorial service will take place in April 17, 2021 from 9am -12pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ. A burial of cremated remains will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ.
