DONALD J. MONTEMURRO
AGE: 83 SAYREVILLE, NJ
Donald J. Montemurro, 83, of Sayreville, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, Mr. Montemurro had lived in Parlin and Toms River before returning to Sayreville, where he and his wife, Marlene, raised their three children. He retired from Bearings, Inc. and was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He is survived by his sons, Donald and Jeffrey, and his daughter, Jennifer; his daughters-in law, Dolores and Chris, and his son-in-law, Ryan; his grandchildren, Amie, Alicia, Jeffrey, Elizabeth, Sophia, and Liam; three great grandchildren; his sister, Lois Munkacsy, his sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Montemurro; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Marlene, who passed in 2010, his brother, Gerald, who passed in 2020, and his partner, Joan Ostrowski, who passed earlier this year. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 6th, at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane from 4pm-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Spezzi’s on Saturday, May 7th, beginning at 9am. Entombment will take place at Holmdel Cemetery in Holmdel.
