Obituary for Dolores P Phillips (McGuckin)
Dolores P. McGuckin Phillips, age 84, of Parlin passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, with her devoted family by her side. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Parlin for over 40 years. Before her retirement, she was employed by Capital Lighting in Eatontown, and formerly for Seamans Furniture in East Brunswick for many years. Dolores loved to travel and was previously active in many senior activities.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert J. Phillips in 1989, and her sisters Mary Jane Tucker and Dorothy Martini. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Cathy and Joseph Passaretti of South Amboy, Laurie and Bruce Marcinczyk of Sayreville, Patricia Phillips of Toms River, and Michael and Connie Phillips of Jacksonville Beach, FL., her grandchildren Stacey Steiner, Kristie Marcinczyk, Kaitlyn Passaretti, Bradley Phillips and Kevin Phillips, her great grandchildren Rob, Michael, Joey and Leah Steiner, her sister Diana McGuckin of South Hackensack and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with burial to follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery in Keyport.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dolores’ name to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
