Dennis C. Grobelny, age 79 passed away peacefully June 20th, 2023 at The Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy. Born October 2, 1943 in South Amboy, NJ to the late Edward and Elizabeth Grobelny,
Dennis was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. Mr. Grobelny was very active in his community and will be remembered fondly for his work as a life member of the Sayreville Engine Co #1, Past chief of Sayreville Fire Department, Sayreville Borough council member for 6 years finishing his last term as Council President, Commissioner of SERA, as well as former Zoning Board chairman.
Dennis retired from DuPont Photo Products in Sayreville and his 2nd career from Sherwin Williams paints in East Brunswick
Dennis is predeceased by his beloved wife of over 45 years Jean Zamorski Grobelny and his brother Ronald Grobelny.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Edward and Rachel Grobelny and Matthew and Cynthia Grobelny, his grandchildren Jillian, Krista, Matthew, Morgan and Jenna, his great grandchildren Emery Jean and Sadie Marie as well as many other family members and friends.
Visiting hours will be held 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, at Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Sayreville, NJ, burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
