Daniel P. Shabatun, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, NJ. Born in New York City, Daniel resided in the Parlin section of Sayreville for over 50 years. Daniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, veteran, and so much more. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his adored wife, Marion, for over 59 years, his daughters and their spouses, Laura and Anthony Nielsen of Hamilton, NJ, and Lisa and Jon Lenskold of Eastampton, NJ, his grandchildren, Christopher Nielsen, Alyssa Nielsen, Jenna Lenskold and her husband, Josh Paiva, and Colin Lenskold, along with many loving, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held 9 am on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Calling hours at the funeral home will take place Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.
