Cynthia A. “Cindy” Gunnell-Vuocolo age 61 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at her home with her loving and devoted husband and son at her side. Born in Staten Island, New York she resided in Parlin for the past 24 years. Before her retirement 24 years ago she was employed as an administrative assistant for 10 years at Columbus Steam Ship Line in Manhattan. Cindy was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville where she was a former member and past president of Our Lady of Victories HAS and acted as team mom for the entire time her son attended Our Lady of Victories School.

She is predeceased by her parents Albert & Cecelia Gunnell. Surviving are her husband of 26 years Charles J. Vuocolo, her son U.S. Marine Corp Staff Sgt Travis F. Vuocolo, and her brothers Jerome Gunnell of Staten Island and John Gunnell of Iola Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with private cremation to follow.
