Chester J. Zonak , age 87 of Parlin passed away Thursday, December 24, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. Born in South Amboy, Mr. Zonak had resided in New Jersey for all of his life. Before his retirement Chester worked as a manager for Foodtown in South Amboy. He was a proud veteran serving in the United Stated Marine Corps.
He is predeceased by Joseph Zonak. Surviving are loving wife Elaine Zonak, his children and their spouses, Carol and Richard Johnson and Maryellen and Lawrence McMahon, his daughter in-law and her husband Nora and George Gawron, his grandchildren Michael, Kelly, Nicholas and Matthew, his sister Ann Baszak as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours at The Carmen F Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, NJ 08859 will be Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm. Prayer services at the funeral home are Thursday 9:30am with burial to follow Sacred Heart Cemetery.
