Charlotte Lewandoski Matusiak, age 88 formerly of Sayreville, passed away Wednesday March 16, 2016 at Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsboro. She was born and raised in South River, where she and her four brothers and sister helped out in the family embroidery business. She married Rufus Anderson after WWII and raised their sons in the home they built in Sayreville. She lived there for more than sixty years, moving to Hillsboro 3 years ago. Charlotte was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church in South River.
She is predeceased by her first husband Rufus Anderson, her second husband Leon Matusiak and four of her five siblings. Surviving are her sons and their wives, Charles and Cindy Anderson, Matthew and Nancy Anderson, her brother and sister in-law Stanley and Candice Lewandoski and her grandchildren, Kevin Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Christian Anderson and Caitlin Walsh (Matthew).

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave. South River with a 9am Mass at St Mary of Ostrabama RC Church, South River. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
