Catherine Rios-Hayes, age 71 of Monroe Twp, passed away peacefully at Overlook Hospital in Summit, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she had lived in Sayreville before moving to Monroe 3 years ago. Before her retirement, Catherine worked as an executive assistant with Citi Group in Manhattan for several years. Catherine loved spending time with her family and praying the rosary.

She is predeceased by her parents Christopher and Katherine Hayes, her brother Timothy Hayes and her sister Mary Anne Reise.

Surviving are her children Christopher Rios, Mellanie Apolinario, and Richard Reise, her grandchildren Kaylee Apolinario and Liliana Rios, her siblings William, Thomas, Janet, Patrick and Daniel Hayes and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday 10:30am at St. Cecelia Church 45 Wilus Way, Iselin, NJ with a private cremation to follow.

Calling hours at the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main St., Sayreville will be Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
