Catherine Galligan Morrissey of Parlin, New Jersey passed away on February
12th, 2019. She was born on October 2, 1929 in the Bronx, New York to
Daphne and Terence Galligan. Catherine was married to Jay Paul Morrissey
(dec 2004) for 51 years.

Catherine is survived by her sister Mary Galligan (James Power) and brother Terence Galligan (Monica). She was predeceased by her brother Daniel Galligan (Ellen).

Devoted mother to 5 children, Brian (Catherine Fitzgerald) Jeanne, Ellen (Richard Bednarz) Jayne and Vincent Morrissey. Loving aunt to 5 nephews.

Erin (Brian McNamara), Meghan Morrissey, Kevin Morrissey, Justin Bednarz (Morgan), Lauren (Matthew Ricca), Kathryn Bednarz, and
Great Grandmother to 9, (Saoirse McNamera, Isla, Penelope, Aidan and Logan Ebbighausen, Julianna Szkodny, Daniel and Sean Morrissey and Madilyn Ricca. A celebration of Catherine's life will be held at Carmen Spezzi Funeral Home
15 Cherry Lane Parlin, New Jersey, Thursday February 14th 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Victories Church 42 Main Street in Sayreville, NJ on Friday February 15th at 9:30AM followed by burial
at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
