Obituary for Casilda E Borges
Casilda E. Borges, age 79 of Forked River passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Puerto Rico she had resided in Forked River for the past 19 years. Before her retirement she was employed as an office manager for Garden State Cash Register in Roselle Park for 25 years. Casilda loved to play games with her family. She was an avid reader, loved to play domino’s, she enjoyed watching game shows, playing cards, trips to Atlantic City and she was an excellent cook. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is predeceased by her parents Felix and Encarnacion Laureano and 4 siblings. Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, Alejandos, her children and their spouses Jacqueline and William Herbek of South Bound Brook and Alexandra and Daniel McNamara of North Brunswick, her grandchildren Nicholas and Cassandra Skidmore, her siblings Agracilo, Marina, Adolfa, Hipolito, Elisa and Felix Jr., her cousin and best friend Maria Isabel and her husband Anibal Luna and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4pm to 8pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a Prayer Service at 7pm. A private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Casilda's name to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research at www.stopsarcoidosis.org/donate.
