Obituary for Carmen Martinez (Rivera)
South Amboy
Carmen Martinez, age 89, of South Amboy peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Alameda Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Perth Amboy. Born and raised in New York City, she lived much of her life there before moving to South Amboy to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Before her retirement, Mrs. Martinez was employed by the City of New York as a Paraprofessional for Special Needs Children for many years. She leaves behind family and many dear friends and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Carmen is predeceased by her beloved husband Rafael Martinez in 2012. Surviving is her loving son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Marjorie Martinez of TX; her dear grandson and his wife Rafael and Julie Martinez of TX; her sister Eva Marie Moskowitz of FL; and her beautiful great-grandchildren Madison and Alexandria.
All services are private due to the COVID-19 federal restrictions on public gatherings, under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ 08859. Letters of condolence and completed arrangements may be found by visiting www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
