Bernard Theurich age 93 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Friday July 10, 2015 at Academy Assisted Living, Fort Pierce, Florida. Born in Milltown he had resided in Parlin for the past 54 years. Before his retirement 31 years ago he was employed as a field engineer for Weldotron Corp in Piscataway for 17 years and prior to that for West Machine in Metuchen. Mr. Theurich proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and then the United States Air Force during the Korean War.



Mr. Theurich was predeceased by his wife of 73 years Ruth Ann Stolte Theurich, and his son Mark Theurich born in 1958. Surviving are his sons Gerald Theurich and his wife Carole Theurich of Corning, New York and Wayne Theurich of Parlin, New Jersey; his grandchildren Kenneth & Joanne Theurich, Christopher & Megan Theurich and Nicole & Jason Morrell; and his great grandchildren Nicholas, Corrine and Grace Theurich and Jacob and Noah Morrell.



Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday July 17, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm.



Funeral services will be held Saturday July 18, 2015 at 10am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with burial to follow at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.



In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice.
