Obituary for Bernard T Malik Sr.

Bernard T. Malik Sr. age 89, of Sayreville, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge.

Born in South Amboy he was a lifelong resident of the state. Before his retirement Mr. Malik was employed as a chemical analyst for both National Lead and FMC Corp. Bernie was a proud Air Force veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years Emily Malik, his children and their spouses, Joanne and Art Conover, Monica and Alan Rogers, Bernard and Donna Malik and Jennifer and Paul Dombrowski, his grandchildren Will (Jenna), Sean (Angela), Robert, Tommy, Shanna, Nicole, Kira and Allie (Ray), his great grandchildren Josh, Kylie, Sean, Dane, Joey, Addy, Lucy and Shyanne, his sister Dolores Godlesky, sisters-in-law Marilyn and Maureen as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Stephen, brother-in-law Stash and his great grandson Kayden.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 15th from 3-7 pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy Saturday at 10am. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum, East Brunswick.
