Obituary for Barbara A Dombrowski

Barbara Dombrowski, age 87 of the Parlin section of Old Bridge passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, surrounded by her loving family. Born in West Orange, NJ she had resided in Parlin for the past 60 years. Barbara was the toughest mom ever; she was diagnosed with Polio at age 22. Barbara was able to raise 6 children with her husband George while being wheelchair bound. Mrs. Dombrowski enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and loved to travel and go on road trips with her husband. Barbara was a proud March of Dimes Mother of the year as well as a member of the Madison Park PTA, The Republican Club, The St. Bernadette’s Rosary Society. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband George Dombrowski in 2019, as well as her daughter Mary Buscarini and parents Fred and Marie Bross. Surviving are her children and their spouses, George J. and Donna Dombrowski of Spotswood, Pat and Dave Canfield of Neptune City, John Dombrowski of Old Bridge, Victoria Dombrowski and Deborah Drury of Somerset and Paul Dombrowski and Jennifer Malik-Dombrowski of Jackson, her grandchildren Kelly Dalton, Daniel Dombrowski and Emily Dombrowski, her great grandchildren Tyler, Jacob and Luke Dalton and Mikaela Dice and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 11am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with an entombment to follow at Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum in East Brunswick. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
