Obituary for Aurelio Quezada
New York, NY
Aurelio Quezada, age 72, of New York, NY, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic to the late Pablo Enrique Quezada and Carmen Eulalia Perez de Quezada, Aurelio moved to New York many years ago and built his life here. He was a devoted Pastor in Manhattan who greatly cared for his parish and those around him. In his spare time, he helped feed the homeless in a local soup kitchen where he volunteered, further expressing his devotion to God and helping others. He will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Aurelio is survived by his son Richard Quezada and his fiancée Dana Ayala of South Amboy, son Enrique Quezada of Miami, FL, his daughter Mary Elisa Quezada of CT, as well as his other children; his dear nephew and niece Mario Quezada and Lydia Quezada; his grandson Taylor Richard Quezada; and many loving siblings.
All services are private due to the COVID-19 federal restrictions on public gatherings, under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ 08859. Letters of condolence may be found by visiting www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
