Obituary for Arlene Dovedytis
Arlene Dovedytis, age 85 of South River, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Summer Hill Nursing Home in Old Bridge. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA she has lived in South River for over 55 years where she raised her beloved family. Arlene worked for L’oreal before her retirement. Arlene enjoyed camping when she was younger as well as watching football games and was an avid reader. Mrs. Dovedytis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend and so much more. She will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She is predeceased by her husband Charles in 2014 as well as her parents Louis & Anna Kroll and her brother Raymond Kroll. Surviving are her loving sons Kevin Dovedytis and David & Debra Dovedytis, her grandchildren Christina Dovedytis and Matthew Dovedytis as well as her sisters Bernadine Wahalla & Carol Ann Budzyn and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be Friday 10:30am from the MA Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave South River with a 11:00am mass at St. Mary’s Ostrabrama Church in South River. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 9am -10:30am.
