Obituary for Anthony M. "Tony" Razzano III

South River

Anthony “Tony” Razzano, age 72, of South River peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick to the late Anthony, Jr. and Mary Razzano, Tony has lived in South River for more than 30 years. Before his retirement, Mr. Razzano taught English, Drama, and Public Speaking through the English Department of the South River Public School System. He was always very active in the community as a proud member of the South River Lions Club, Board of Education, and the borough’s Town Council. He was a psychic entertainer, having performed at countless functions, including the annual holiday party for the New York Knicks. His sense of humor was legendary. He will be missed by his family, friends, students, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years Linda Razzano (Moore) of South River; his three loving children and their spouses Chris and Jennifer Razzano of Philadelphia, Devyn Osborne and Moira Kamgar of California, and Angela Razzano and Michael Herman of South River; his seven dear grandchildren Nick, Allie, Logan, Alex, Isaac, Lucy, and Leo; his sister-in-law Janet Springsteadah and her children and their spouses Jennifer and Brian Kidwell, Dreu Ferguson, Jr., Don Springsteadah, and Dacy and Jonathan Berry, all of West Virginia; his cousins and their spouses Anthony and Joann Razzano of East Brunswick, Sal and Diane Razzano of South River, Joseph and Diane Infusino of Manchester, Dominick Infusino of South River, William and Jennifer Gerics of Brick and many more loving cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Anthony Razzano Memorial Scholarship Fund. Please make checks payable to South River High School. Please write "Razzano Memorial Scholarship Fund" in the memo of the check.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, June 5 at the M.A. Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave, South River. All are also invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, June 4 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
