Obituary for Anna Marie Ambrosio

Anna Marie Ambrosio, age 96, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away Wednesday January 26, 2022, at the Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Jersey City on April 17, 1925, to Michele (Michael) and Maria Ragni, she had resided in Parlin for the past 69 years. Anna Marie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family was the most important to her and she went out of her way to care for everyone. She attended St. Bernadette’s Church for many years. She love Sunday dinners with the family, visiting her sister or brothers and especially spending time with her grandchildren Michele and Tommy. In the later years, she would love telling stories, watching children grow up, animals, and telling jokes called “Gramizims”

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony Ambrosio, her son Joseph Ambrosio, her siblings Teresa Sini, Dominick Ragni, Cosimos “Danny” Ragni and Anthony “Small Tony” Ragni. Surviving are her grandchildren Michele and her husband Curtis Mullins and Tommy Welch, her daughter in-law Louise Welch and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:45am from Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ with a 9:30am Funeral Mass being offered at Saint Bernadette R. C. Church, Parlin. Burial to follow at Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm
