Obituary for Alice McSpadden

Alice McSpadden, age 90, formerly of Sayreville, passed away Saturday March 6, 2021 at the Veteran’s Home in Edison. Born in Passaic, she had lived in Sayreville for many years. Alice was a graduate of St. Michael’s Nursing school and worked as a nurse at East Orange VA. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. She proudly served in the US Navy with the Nursing Corp and was stationed in Camp Penelton in San Diego, where she met her husband of 59 years, Robert.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert, her son Mark and her daughter Mary Ann.
Surviving are her children and their spouses Michael and Lynn McSpadden, Melinda and Anthony Sobol, her grandchildren Maggie McSpadden, Micaela McSpadden, Elizabeth Byrd and her husband David and her sister Dorothy Serrao.
Funeral services will be Friday 9:00am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main St. with a 9:30am Mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 3pm to 7pm.
