Alexsandra “Sonia” Melnyk, age 95 of Perth Amboy, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at her home, with her loving daughters by her side. Born in the Ukraine, she had immigrated to England before moving to the United States. Sonia worked as a domestic cleaner for many years and was a member of the Ukrainian Assumption Church in Perth Amboy.
She is predeceased by her husband Stefan.
Surviving are her loving twin daughters Anna and Olga Melnyk.
Funeral services are private, entrusted to the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ 08859.
A memorial mass will be offered in the future to celebrate Sonia’s life.
The family requests that donations be made in Sonia’s name to Bishop Gabro School Endowment Fund 684 Alta Vista Place, Perth Amboy 08861.
