Agnes  McLean (Rhue)
Agnes Rhue McLean, age 90 of Parlin, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her home, with her loving family by her side. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she had moved to the United States in 1965. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Agnes was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband James in 2004, her son Gerard McLean and her daughter-in-law Moira McNamara. Surviving are her children Catherine Walsh and her husband David, James McLean and his wife Joyce, her grandchildren Heather Antonuccio and her husband Christopher, James, Marissa Benfer and her husband Jeffrey, Samantha, & Catherine McLean, Jillian Walsh, her great-grandsons Dominick Antonuccio, James McLean and Henry Benfer and her sister Veronica Monaghan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Entombment will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in South Amboy. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 3pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Agnes’ name to the St Vincent De Paul Society through the parish office at Our Lady of Victories Church.
