Caroline Grabowski Kuberski, loving known as Cioci Kay, age 95, passed away peacefully, at her daughter’s home on Friday September 14, 2018. Born in Sayreville, she was a lifelong borough resident. Before her retirement, Kay worked as secretary to the Principal at Roosevelt School, Arleth School and Washington School. She was an active communicant at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. She was a former member of the St. Stan’s School HSA, a member of the NJEA, the Sayreville Historical Society and the Our Lady of Victories Columbiette’s. Kay was an avid reader and loved the beach. She loved going to Monmouth Park and Atlantic City. She enjoyed bowling at the Red Top and most of all she loved spending time with her beloved family.
She is predeceased be her husband Thomas , her son in law Richard Zajack, her sister Mary Lagoda Mutilitus, her brothers Edward and Frank Grabowski and her great-nephew Matthew Winston.
Surviving are her beloved daughter Kim Ann Zajack-Szulecki and her husband Greg Szulecki, her cherished grandchildren Daniel Zajack and his wife Nicole, Katie Anne Wilgus and her husband Dave, the light of life, her great-grandchildren Summer Grace and John Austin Wilgus, her sister in law Mary Ann Grabowski her nieces MaryLou Zajac, Charlene Kenny, Alexis Poplowski, Donna Brodzinski, Denise Biancamano, her nephew Stanley Grabowski, her grand- dog Pearl and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:00am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main St. Sayreville with a 10:00am mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St. Stan’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4pm to 7pm.
