SAYREVILLE - Bernice Pysno Kuczynski, 96, a lifelong Sayreville resident, died Thursday June 28, 2018, at Raritan Bay Medical Center Old Bridge, surrounded by her loving children. Born on November 9, 1921, Bernice was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in South Amboy. There, she was a member of the parish Rosary Society and school P.T.A. growing up, she graduated from St. Stanislaus parish school. She is a former member of St. Stan’s parish and its Sodality. Prior to her marriage, Bernice worked as an operator at White Owl Cigar Factory as well as the R. and P. Wash Suit Company, and other factories in South River. Bernice loved to be with her family and particularly enjoying gathering them together for Thanksgiving dinner. She especially loved to bake cakes and pies for her late husband, Casimir Kuczynski.

She is survived by her children, Thomas & Barbara Kuczynski, Marty & Theresa Kuczynsk, & Jane Cope, all of Sayreville; her beloved grandchildren, Brian & Michele Kuczynski, Gregory Kuczynski, Laura Kuczynski, and Ricky Kuczynski; her adored great-grandchildren Noah, Amelia, and Maceo Kuczynski; her sister Jean Pysno; her brother, Ed Pysno; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Karol & Josephine Pysno; her sister Rose Kaczmarek; and her brothers, John, Chester, Frank, and Al Pysno.

Funeral services will be Monday 8:30am at the Carmen F Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ with a 9am Funeral Mass being offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 3pm to 6pm. The Sacred Heart Rosary Society will offer prayers at 3:30pm on Sunday.
