Obituary for Paul Madden

Paul  Madden
Paul J. Madden, age 81 of Parlin, NJ passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday March 6, 2018. Born in Jersey City, he had resided in Harrison, NJ before moving to Parlin to raise his family. Paul’s talent for working with his hands and fixing machines led to a 40-year career working as a mechanic for Trans World Airlines. Paul also proudly served as a helicopter mechanic for the U.S. Army during his time of active duty.

He is predeceased by his brother John Madden Jr. Surviving is the love of his life Rosemary McCarthy, his four children Paul J. Madden Jr., Jeannine Weiss, Patrick Madden and Andrea and her husband James Watson, his beloved grandchildren Tiffany Weiss, Jordan Weiss, Patrick Madden Jr. and Jillian Watson, his siblings and their spouses Robert and Robin Madden, Mary and Peter Loria and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was also predeceased by his wonderful dog, Finster.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11am at St. Francis Xavier, Newark. There will be a small prayer service following a funeral procession on Saturday starting at 9:30am at Carmen F. Spezzi funeral home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
