Obituary for Dennis J. Carey
Newark
Dennis J. Carey age 61 of Newark passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at UMDNJ University Hospital in Newark. Born in Newark he had previously resided in South Amboy and Holmdel. Before his retirement he was a self-employed General Contractor in the Holmdel area.
He is predeceased by his parents James and Leona Carey. Surviving are his sons Dennis and his wife Jacquelyn of Farmingdale, Daniel, Brian, Kevin and their mother, Louann Carey, of Holmdel, his siblings Eileen Ust (Gerald), Jane Stolte (David), Martin Carey, Ellen Carey and James Carey and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 10:30 a.m. at St Mary’s RC Church in South Amboy. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial donations in Dennis’ name to the Save The Summer Flounder Fishery Fund. Donations can be sent to SSFFF, 2167 Gregory Pl., Sea Girt, NJ 08750. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.
