Obituary for Joseph S. Suchowiecki

Joseph Stanley Suchowiecki, age 101, of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home with his loving family at his side. Born in Sayreville, Joe was a lifelong resident of the borough. He was a graduate of the Sayreville School System, the Sprayberry Academy and the United Television Trade School. Before his retirement Joseph owned and operated Boro TV on Washington Road in Sayreville and provided sales and service of electronics to the community for over 35 years. Mr. Suchowiecki was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Sayreville where he was a Past President and very active member of the Holy Name Society. He was also the President of the Middlesex County Holy Name Society, a member of the Knights of Columbus #2061, and a Middlesex County Republican Committeeman. Joe was a horseshoe pitching champion, a gardener, and an avid pool player, having once defeated world 9-ball champion, Allen Hopkins. Joe was the consummate family man who dedicated his entire life to his family.

He is predeceased by his parents Adam & Louise Suchowiecki, and his siblings Stanley, Walter, John, Mary, and Martha. Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years Madeline (Forberger) of Sayreville; his loving children and their spouses Jill & Charles McEvoy of Baldwin, MD and Debra & Joseph Zimmer of Belle Mead; his 4 adoring grandchildren who referred to him as “Poppy” - Zoey, Zara, Madison, and Addison; and his sister Sophie Kwitkoski of MD.

Funeral services will be held 10:30am Wednesday from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St., Sayreville with an 11am Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.
