Obituary for Frances Bruno (Kostelecky)

Frances Bruno, age 77 of Sayreville passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 19th 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Jersey City she had resided in Sayreville for the past 7 years. Before her retirement she was employed as a maintenance worker for Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken for 20 years. Frances was a former leader and was very active with the Boy Scouts for many years, she was a volunteer at St. Peter & Paul Church in Hoboken, she enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and she loved cats.

She is predeceased by her parents Frederick and Helen Kostelecky and her brother Frederick Kostelecky Jr. Surviving are her children Helen Bruno-Raccuia and her husband Peter of Sayreville and her son Michael Bruno of Wallkill, NY, her sister Florence Quinzel and her husband Charles of Hendersonville, NC, her granddaughter Jordan Raccuia, her nieces Susan Fink, Joyce Quinzel and Sharon Dumo and her great- nephew Liam Fink.

A memorial service will be held 3pm Saturday at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday from 1pm to 4pm. A private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
