Condolence: Don aka Pop Pop, It was a pleasure knowing you for the last couple of years. I appreciate you welcoming me into your family. Since the first day I met you I knew you were a guy that I can look up to forever. You were always filled with energy, laughter and hilarious jokes. I will never forget all the great advice you have given me that I can carry on in my life, like shaking someone's hand with a firm grip and always keep a clean shave. Thank you for encouraging me to work hard and always do my best. I will always take care of your granddaughter.

Rest In Peace Pop Pop🙏🏼🤝❤️

Condolence: Chief, Pop Pop,
This past Thursday, I lost the best person I had ever known, my father-in-law. He was a father figure to me as I had lost my own father a little while after my second birthday.
My father-in-law was one of the best!
He was strong, smart and very wise. And he was brave. Even after being diagnosed five years ago, he was not afraid. It never changed who he was or ever got him down. And he stayed brave and strong right up until the very end.
Don was a simple man, he was a thinker, an inventor, and above all, he was a family man. And he was the handiest man I had ever known. There was nothing he could not do.
His life wasn't always an easy one, but he made sure that his wife and family were always provided for.
I never told him how much I thought of him or how I couldn't love him more if he were my own father, but I'm sure he knew.
I have been so blessed to have had him as the grandfather of my children.

I'm sure he is still with us, watching over all of us.
He did not go alone, for part of all of us went with him.
We will all miss him and he will never be forgotten.

Rest In Peace Chief, Pop Pop, Dad

Condolence: To the strongest man I have ever known and the GREATEST Pop Pop; It's been an honor to be your granddaughter. I was lucky enough to have 30 years with you and will hold all the memories in my heart forever. Thank you for all you've done for me and our family. I know you will always be with me now. I hope they make a good Whiskey Sour in heaven. As you always used to tell us before we went to sleep, Boo Boo! I will miss you very much ❤️❤️❤️

Condolence: We are very sad to hear of Dons passing and feel a sense of loss. There are no words to take away the pain. He was a great man! We care very much for Anne and Don and they hold a special place in our hearts. Don was a hardworking man with strong morals and values, a love for family, and a great sense of humor who always wore a smile. We are blessed to have had Don in our lives. May the Russ family find comfort looking back on good memories and better times. Don will never be forgotten and will most certainly be missed. We loved talking to Don, sharing stories, and being in his company. We have so many stories and memories- We went to upstate NY on vacation and was talking to a person in our hotel, when we told them where we lived he said I have a friend that lives there and sure enough it was Don. Such a small world- but shows the impact one man can have on so many! We pleaded with Don to leave during Sandy but he put dug his heels in and rode out the storm like the captain of his ship- he was not about to leave (no surprise to those that know him). I will miss his hugs and smile. Rest in Peace our friend. Love Jen, Scott, and Shane Cranstoun

Condolence: We are very sorry for the loss of Don. He was a great person and we all loved the times we spent outside talking to him. We have lived next door to Don and Anne for 17 years and we could not have had better neighbors. We want you all to know how much we cared for him and and we will do anything you need. Please find peace in your time together and may you always feel your presence in your daily life. Love Scott, Jen and Shane Cranstoun
