Edith M. D’Aloia, age 83 of Sayreville passed away Wednesday September 24th 2014 at her home. Born in Newark she had resided in Sayreville for the past 47 years. Before her retirement in 2012, She was employed as a secretary by the Sayreville Board of Education for 25 years and she was also the secretary for the Sayreville Planning Board for 40 years. Edith was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville, was a member of the NJEA, the SEA, she was a Past President of the PTA for Wilson School, loved going to Atlantic City, was an avid Yankee fan and she especially loved to watch her grandchildren participate in their various activities.

She is predeceased by her husband Ross in 2002. Surviving are her children Kathleen Nicholas of Sayreville and her son Scott and his wife Kathyann of Brick and her grandchildren Heather, Brian and Anthony Nicholas of Sayreville and Francesca D’Aloia of Brick.

Funeral services will be held 9am Monday from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St., Sayreville with a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm.
